Motivational Quote of The Day

"If you wait until all the lights are green' before you leave home, you'll never get started on your trip to the top."

Blind Passion and the Written Word

My apologies to my readers, but an issue has risen that must be addressed. have we become so polarized that we can no longer have a civil conversation?
I pray not.

In a string of Fb conversations i reminded everyone that we are in perilous times and the the warnings of Thos. Jefferson are fast becoming reality... again.

This historic quote was offered as a reminder that history is want to repeat itself. However it caused an incendiary response to wit.

"Yesterday I was libeled and slandered on FB by a person I thought was, and still hope will be, a friend. I will excuse the slur, but still expect a public apology.

To be accused of being a right wing extremist borders is the height of naivete, or worse the act of a person unwilling to have a reasonable conversation.

I will allow my record to set straight my life's work for peace and understanding.

I have been a Pipe Carrier (Spiritual leader) of my Shawnee People for thirty plus years, was our Ambassador to the world, an NGO for peace, was the VP of the Interfaith Council for the United Nations, Keynote speaker at many national events including 1992 Earth Day at Sf Golden Gate Park, was personal counselor for Dr. Mangosuthu Buthelezi in his quest for peace in his Quazulu Nation, was named an IIFP Ambassador for Peace in 2002... I have spent much of my adult life in that elusive but desirable quest.

My record stands intact.

I would expect an honorable person to proffer an apology.

The bomb throwing by the left or right does no good in bringing our deeply divided nation together. This is the time for intelligent, honest and open debate as to our nation's future. Neither side can have it their way. We must reach consensus soon.

My observation of history indicates that the divide today is as great as that which caused the great Civil War, and if we do not correct course, blood will surely be shed again.

We must come together in a common effort, or surely we will go as did Rome.

Think and act with your brain, not your hearts... Stop the insanity."
