am documenting the important bits of my lifetime as a Shawnee/Mide’

of tribal knowledge, not from outside sources, but from my inner circle of
family and advisors. I will leave the works of others to their own device.

series, “Mystic Medicine Lodge.” Most of the mysteries shared in this Five
Volume Set of Shawnee/Mide’ Lore has never before been published.
Why
am I offering this to you?
I
am 69 years old. Although I am in reasonable health, one never knows. Therefore
I am compelled to write these books of knowledge for my People, and others, to
have a foundation to aid them in their Traditional Path to the Wisdom of the
Ancient Ones.
I
believe in not compromising my integrity.
To dispel any misunderstanding by anyone who might
get the wrong impression, this book is not a part of a dialogue, or offered up
as fodder for modern historians and their “it must have been written or it
isn’t a fact” philosophy; the political correct crowd to parse and insert their
views of the “facts” they seem to embrace; or those who have the misguided
concept that my ancestors were “noble red men” or “heathen savages.” We were,
and are not either.
What I am about to share are the collected
remembrances of my People as told me by my Elders and those shared by my tribal
friends of their Elders recollections.
This is our history and philosophies handed down. I care not if you
agree. I only offer this tome as a document of our past as seen thru the eyes
of our Elders.
I do hope you will be enlightened and find some
connection with your past, no matter your ancestry. For we all spring forth
from First Parents, who shared many similar base beliefs.
